WANTED aluminium pushrods for 2l type 4 cj engine

anyone have a set kicking around

 

Might have Gary. I'll have a look tomorrow. I stripped 2 CJ motors so they should be right. Can you confirm the length you need?

OK. Sure I've got at least two sets that are aluminium. Hopefully somebody will confirm length.

 

If they're standard aluminium and from a type 4 they'll be about 270mm.

Found you a nice set Gary. The others were painted black! Measured then at 270mm tip to tip.

I mean how do you know the CJ engine needs aluminium pushrods? If it's a CJ with a hydraulic cam and followers it will need steel pushrods (and rockers with solid spacers).

 

Oic, I know because I have a cj bottom end which want to marry a cu top end, I have steel lifters and I want aluminium because they're a different length + I don't want to use hydraulic lifters

 

OK that’ll work. I answered your question about pushrod lengths but had forgotten you were fitting CU square port heads to the CJ bottom end. Just out of interest are you using the rocker assemblies from the CU heads? They’ll have solid spacers, not springs between the rockers.

 

Gary just let me know if you need rockers with springs - got plenty. Good knowledge Westy
