Alternator putting out 17v ?

I rewired the bus but that wiring came with the engine. Had the alt checked this morning and he said was ok.

 

As I said before it probably never worked its just getting thro the teething problems after short 10 year rebuild

Some numpty wired the bottom one wrong. I have now replaced the wiring ( found to have been repaired before ) and put new connections on.
It now works fine

Interesting thread all the same . I never knew about those NATO engines - and now I do!
