Evening Does anyone have the air filter bracket knocking around, as mine was cut out of the engine bay during resto and never replaced. I have the original air filter and wish to use it ? As always Thanks
Hi Varren Sorry I don’t have a bracket, but if you get one consider mounting it in a detachable way as it gets in the way if welded in place permanently. Have a look at my restro thread for details. Best wishes
If you have the engine out and are working in there, it will get in your hair, ear, nose and is generally a pain in the a".......
I wrapped the little blighter in a towel as I gashed my head when prepping the the engine bay for paint! (Do you remember paint prep Martin?! Feels like a distant memory now thankfully).
The worst part to Prep on a bus the engine bay and vents I’ve jabbed that bracket into my body that many times the swear box is full. I was starting to make some progress before the non stop biblical rain
I got to the point where the touch id login on my phone no longer worked as I had such smooth fingers!
I’ve still got the one I took a picture of in the earlier posts if the eBay one doesn’t pan out. Stirlingmoz
Our cr0ssover was missing this bracket too when we got it; the air cleaner was suspended from the roof of the engine bay by cable ties. Never had a problem with that so never bother refitting the bracket.
