  1. Hi all. Having a new frony panel fitted and will need a new aerial. A simple question......

What 's better, single or twin mount and why?

    Thanks

There isn't any reception benefits from a single or dual mount aerial of the same quality.

The choice if yours and is down to aesthetics and placement.

  3. mine's a double ....

    single, and electric :D

  5. I've got a stainless twin mount on the drivers size (easier to put up at the lights).
First twin mount I had was rubbish. Stainless Aerial but plastic mounts, lousy reception. One I have know works really well and IMHO goes with the bus.

If you have a windscreen aerial then you don't have to drill ANY holes into you shiny new front end. Reception on mine is brilliant and it just sticks onto the windscreen behind the rear view mirror.

  7. I didnt have much luck with my windscreen aerial. Wasnt great at splitting up the channels (London, lots of pirates)

  13. thought that it would probably work better with an external aerial, any advice on mounting, is it just to make sure nothing behind front panel and drill small hole?

  14. I didn't like the thought of vandals bending my aerial so as I hadn't fitted the roof liner yet, i went for a modern Mercedes 'bee sting' aerial instead. Yes I did drill my roof prior to the respray, but reception is ace and the thing is out of reach and pretty much indestructible. Looks great too!
