A quick question for our welsh elite Have you boys ever herd of fried apples for breakfast with bacon & eggs ? If so how were the apples cooked ? Has any one got a welsh granney they can ask ? Only reason i ask is mother in law is from mountin ash and mention that her mother and granny would cook it for breakfast on the weekends, just was wondering how the apples were cooked as i quite fancy the idea
So what i is realy looking to do is score some browny points with the old bugger so the welsh way is what i is after fry in butter , olive oil , bacon fat , lard !!!! ? someone must know a welsh granny
Sorry meant to say in my post (now edited) I'd fry in butter. Don't think the (olden days) Welsh would use olive oil and apples being sweet wouldn't taste nice fried in lard. Apples wise, use Granny Smiths
