  1. Few additions to the van, managed to get the split charge working with a spare battery I had that's going to be usefull chilling the beers this weekend :)

And bought a save my bug temp dipsticks sender from limebug for £32, looks likes a decent little device, saves me wiring in a temp sender and VDO gauge.

Vans looking good. I've waited 2-3 yrs to protect mine and regretting it a bit now! Are you going to paint it still? I like it how it is. :)

  3. Unfortunatly yes it will be getting painted.

The thoughts on that at the moment are mouse grey with a white top, due to the amount of panels going to be replaced it's going to need it.

  13. Today's little build, vdo pods made out of old dead coil, oil temp and pressure yet to be wired in.

Made the bracket out of a bit of tent pole a beetle pan washer and two coil clamps. It will do for now.

Quite happy with the results as it's only my second time welding, need to get practicing for when I start doing some panel replacement on the bus. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  14. Tonight's fun, the glass from the Speedo has come loose and was resting against the needle so a little bit of dismantling and a hot glue gun later it's back together. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  15. Glue guns can fix so much, hardly a week goes past without plugging it in:)

  16. True that, it's definitely the most used tool in the garage at the moment. :) Done the trick and yay to a working Speedo.

  17. Bit of preparation for wiring in the oil pressure sender and oil temp.

Ran some 4 core wire and some trunking from back to front and had a good nosy underneath while at it.

Not wired in yet, hopefully that's tomorrow job. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  18. Oil pressure t piece, installed tonight, was a bit fiddly leaked a bit managed to sort it with some gasket sealant.

Hopefully the oil temp plate arrives tomorrow so I can fit that before the weekend jaunt to rhos on sea. [IMG][IMG]

  19. Little Friday lunch time dart from work so went for a night away with a a few local Freinds.

Went to dinarth farm at rhos on sea, decent little campsite at £11 a night.

Bus ran great with the addition of its oil pressure guage it was interesting to see the difference in pressure depending on speed.

    When cold
    45-47psi

    When hot
    30mph 14psi
    50 mph, 21psi
    60mph, 31psi

Just waiting on the taco plate for the oil temp sensor to arrive so that's a job for this week.

  20. The new taco plate arrives today so I finally have my temp sensor wired up.

Case seems to benefit from a oil flow mod in the inspection chamber which should give it a more accurate reading hopefully.

I let the bus idle for 10 mins just to test it was working and all looks good.

Might drive it to work Friday to see what sort of temp she reads on the short trip. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
