  1. It does look the mutts nuts mate, you done well. :)

It is a shame to cover it but i would rather it covered to give extra protection like you say.

    Cheers Kank

  2. Should do mate I need to do mine once it's all welded ,nice work

  3. Little update:

Unfortunately the engine shat itself and needed pretty much the whole top end so I ordered new heads, barrels, pistons, rings, seals, scat covers and kank supplied whatever else is need.

Not long now before I should have her back home in the freshly sorted garage.

  4. UPDATE :D

Popped down to see the bus and all is well and just need paint and putting together again really.
Last few month have been a pain, needed the engine rebuilding and a new carb fitted and set up, thats a good thing though.

She is now MOT'd, taxed and insured, so I will be driving her home tomorrow from Bristol to Slough on her first voyage since early 2007, I am well nervous and excited at the same time, steady drive back along the M4 at 50-60mph should be fine I think. I have bought 2 new fire extinguishers for the journey.

Huge thanks to KANK for doing all the crap work (he loves it;)) and getting the bus ready for me, took longer than we thought but there was always a nasty surprise popping up.

I'll get some photos up tomorrow of my journey back :D Fingers crossed all will be trouble free.

    :D

  5. Got home after a couple of hours but some how lost 1st and 2nd gear when I pulled of the M4:(. No matter what happened I couldnt find them so I had to drive with only 3rd and 4th. Easy fix I think so will do that this week.

    Huge thanks to KANK

Needs paint now which I said I would do later as I cant decide on a colour, also need to reseal the pop top.

  7. Very pleased, been a while.

Looking forward to stripping it down and prepping it for paint. Just need to choose a colour now.

Possibly off white roof and bumpers with Almond green paint for the rest. White standard wheels.
