34 pict carb question?!?!?!?!?

  1. Yo fello bayers. Got myself a shiny new engine from the engine shop and I was suspicious that my old carb was on the way out so I got them to fit me a shiny new one. My question is, on the front and the side of the carb are what looks like 2 vacuum outlets that have been blanked off. Should these be plumbed into anywhere? My engine is a twin port type 1 1600 (1641 now, posh like). Sweet

I think the rear one is for the vac can on your dizzy (if you have one)

  3. the engine people have fitted a 009 so it looks as though there is no vac advance

The outher one goes to the hot air valve on the air filter box

  5. What, the one at the front?

on the air box you should have 2 close together at the rear of the box it goes on one of these then another bit of pipe goes to one on the air intake

Like this if you have a square airbox it still about the same

  7. Atm I have H going to A. If I change E to A, where does H go too?

dont think it matters i think EFH are all the same but someone may correct me

  9. E and H are straight manifold vacuum to A, so either is correct. Just block any spare one off. If you've got both, likely someone's changed the manifold or carb in the past. The ported vacuum F should always go to the dissy.
