Well 2011 has been a poor year for me so far losing my job, having to go back to my old job lots of financial worries but December has put a smile on my face - For the 1st time in 12 years I got to see my son of 23 we drank lots of Cider and a great weekend and bridges have been built , just need to sow the seeds with my two daughters now I have now secured a job as a Green Flag Patrol man well and start Jan 2nd 2012 - A happy bunny again Best get out there and get on with Gladys now enough waffle
Glad to hear the tide is turning mate and good things are coming your way Be gratful for the positives and learn from the negatives is my moto. Nothing stays good forever but nothing stays bad either.
Cool post buddy - good to end on a high! Must be hard being a Green Flag guy - so few cars out there now you don't plug into and talk to the computer I bet!
mine was crap being a back spaz on loads of nasty drugs, trying to work in mass pain for 5 months was hell, losing all my savings to keep me a float, But im on the mend which is a high & having a mentle wedding done on a shoe string was great, getting the bus on the road again & winning 2 awards. Now 2 fingers up to 2011 i hope 2012 is much better. Plans for more work on the vw & get a bike on the road would be nice + the back being good & holding in there, it should do with all the exersises i now do. >
Green flag man roll on the good days. My mates an AA man and he loves it. Rang him up the other day while he was on a job sorting out a broken down transit van in the pouring rain and gales while on a hill, his question to me was,do I lay under the van so the water runs down my back to feet or from feet up to my head? My answer was tell him to pee off and get a decent van.
I have done rescue recovery now for 4 years with a 2 month break it is very rewarding as a job and you get to meet some great people and to work on lots of different cars and vans - As for my son i have a grin that know one can wipe off my face he is a good lad with a great jo he is a camera man for the British Armed Forces - I am very very proud of him
Being in a good mood as well I have fabricated a nice custom overider for Gladys - sorry no pics as it was late and cold and dark and wet when i locked up - Its trick with very subtle things but enhance the front a little more
Good positive stuff as the year draws to an end. That's really good news (not the overrider - although that's good news as well!)
