    1979 Type 2, 2.0 Litre Injection, 7-seater Microbus.

    This is "Wallace", named after its previous, original owner. Imported from the West Coast, USA, this is a genuine one previous owner from new Bus, with a huge folder of receipts, original service and warranty documents, as well as original sales documents and pouches from VW when the Bus was new, right down to the window sticker with sales details in 1979.

    The Bus is unmolested, all original, with a genuine mileage of just 103,000 and some great patina. The previous owner even kept a record of all fuel stops he made, recording quantity and mileage travelled. The story according to the documentation also shows he bought the Bus brand new only because his previous early T2 was involved in an accident.

    The Microbus is equipped with its original (hard-to-find) set of bench seats, tinted windows, opening quarter lights and centre slider windows, and has its original US-Spec-only colour scheme.

    It has a fresh Mot and can be driven away once registered.

    Assuming this is yours, and you’re not in the states, how can this be a “genuine 1 owner” bus?
    Mine was a genuine 7 owner until I bought it. It then became a genuine 8 owner...
