I'm sure everyone that's changed a windscreen will know the pain I've been through. Anyway in other news my new tracking device turned up I'm going to set it up to send alerts if the van is moved, perfect to catch any would be thieves in the process.
Just a few pics of the screen coming out and the condition of the sills Wipers are now on, will put the seats back in next week and arrange an MOT. If it passes that's when the real restoration begins
Windscreen surround looks pretty solid. Much nicer than removing the screen to find nothing under the rubber.
Working in the cab still at the moment. Bought these repro under seat matts. Today's job, remove the open cell foam off the bottom and replace with closed cell foam. Hmm not as easy as I thought Managed to get it off in one piece (just) Now for the template Finally cut and check fit Think I'll glue tomorrow :-S
Now onto the brakes. Bled them this evening but looks like there's some more bits to buy. Shoes,drums, pads, ball joint boots, maybe new brake pipe
Yeah it was pretty grim you couldn't see a torch light through it. Completely flushed the lot through with new, looks much better now
