  1. I have the pleasure to offer this beautiful 1976 LHD camper van to a loving new owner on behalf of my customer with a genuine reason for sale.
I specialise in repairing aircooled VW's, see www.sosvw.com for more details.

I have maintained it ever since it was bought by my customer. Any hint of trouble, it has been left with me to sort out. A fair amount of money has been spent getting up to this standard so you don’t have too. He looks after it very well & always keeps it clean & polished.

It is a Swedish bus which makes a nice change, as they aren’t used in bad weather, nor do they salt their roads. It is very solid underneath, with welding only to the inner sills. It is rock solid everywhere. It was originally a school bus, but was laid up in a barn for 17 years! This is why it is in such good condition.

It has a well maintained replacement 1600cc engine which runs perfectly. It starts first time & pulls very well. It has the engine inspection hatch from the factory to make servicing easier.

There are a few added extras like a heated wind screen, CD player, electric screen washer & a petrol heater. The heater has never been used, so can’t vouch for it working. It is a factory fitted one though.

The factory Oceanic blue paint colour is quite rare & was used on late Beetles & very early Golfs. I haven’t seen many in this colour.

The bodywork is very straight & very clean. It looks stunning. The outside has been repainted to a very high standard. There are only a few minor marks on it.

The 15” Foosh wheels really set it off a treat. The front axle is height adjustable, but it is set perfectly already. It doesn’t drive like a lowered van, it is nice and soft. There is also a stylish roof rack, which is great for carrying extras.

Recent work I have done was to fit a new genuine brake servo, brake pads & all 4 ball joints for its MOT. I fitted a new pair of genuine Hella Halogen H4 headlights too.

It now has an MOT for a year & is taxed till next March.

Previous work I have done include fitting a recon German carburettor, inlet manifold & exhaust header as well as a full engine service.

I removed the engine to replace the clutch release bearing & fitted a quality split charge battery system while it was out. It now has aux 12v sockets and a separate fuse box neatly fitted.

The interior is very nicely put together & simple in its design. It has a rock & roll fold out bed, and a nice size fridge. There is a set of thermo mats included, so no need for curtains. It has opening side windows, they are tinted in the back but inside it is lovely and bright. The head lining is original and in great condition. This bus will make for some great holidays or short breaks away.

This bus is an absolute pleasure to drive. The gears shift nicely and the new servo really pulls up well. I would love to own it myself. You can jump in it and go anywhere. It is ready to go, and needs nothing.

Viewing is highly recommended, nobody will be disappointed with the van. The only problem you will have is not wanting to get out after driving it!
