  2. Completely forgot to get an photos of this evenings progress but I have now completely removed the old header ducting from underneath (which where full of glass, my only guess its smashed windscreen that fell into the heater box), removed both the rotten crossmember's and removed the 2x tubes for the old heater cables.

Also found an old shot blaster in the unit buried in a corner and some blasting media. Decided to see if it worked and it does just need to get some dry media for it and tent the bus off and that will make cleaning underneath a whole lot quicker

Also progress with the cooling system. Rad has been cut down and hopefully I will have 2 smaller rads next week

  11. Only a couple photos from the other night as my phone started to mess about. After a couple hours I managed to get the shot blaster working propperly. It made light work of the areas I couldn't get into with the wire wheel. It makes a hell of a mess though even with the camper in its new home

I'm hoping to get a new tarpaulin tomorrow to make it easier to catch the used shot and a sieve so I can get rid of the big bits of rust and reuse it. Hopefully some more progress tomorrow and some more etch

  13. Have you tried using baking soda as a blast medium?

  14. I haven't but I have heard very good things about it. I used a blasting media which looks like its metal based?! I bought a 25kg tub of it from sealeys and I sieve it out to remove the large lumps of rubbish after blasting and reuse it. Hopefully another couple nights and the blasting will be done ready for sealing and stone chip

  15. which powerplan will you be using?

  16. Powerplan? If by that you mean engine, I'm running a 2.0 16v sohc subaru engine, with std camper gearbox for now

  17. Really getting bored if this blasting now lol. Need a fresh tub of grit before I can carry on anymore as it just feels like I'm blasting with dust now until it hits you in the face

    Here's a couple of 50/50 shots

Also popped into halfords to get a couple tins of paint mixed up to try on the old tailgate. I'm not completely sure but the missus is happy

  18. Very slow progress atm which isn't good as need this all done and on the road by September

Majority of the underside is now blasted and etched. Finished up a few little extra bits on the engine support bar this eve and started to seam seal on half of he underside. Also welded in the new rear centre crossmember.
