1975 Devon For Sale £7500

1600 Engine - reconditioned unit with 4805miles on clock. Serviced and MOTd in June.

Tax Exempt

Recently repainted empi alloys and bumpers. Red bodywork a little tatty but solid. No major rot or filler popping out.

Chassis solid with some historical welding evident. Cleaned, primed and undersealed 3 years ago. Seldom out in rain - never out on salted roads.

Devon poptop with custom birch ply interior cabinets. Real wool tartan curtains and cushion covers. 2 ring hob and grill. Ample storage in the usual places.

Work done by myself includes complete suspension overhaul with new bearings and seals at front. Beam was removed to restore original ride height. Chassis repaired and painted while the beam was off. Beam was cleaned, primed and stone chipped while off.

Rear was lifted a couple of notches with plenty of grease applied. Rear brakes overhauled at same time.

New standard exhaust and heat exchangers fitted in June this year.

New front tyres in June, rear have loads of tread left as does the spare.

Been up the west coast of Scotland last two years and a good trip to Wales just completed so van is tried and tested as a usable camper. Needs a new home as we are needing to put some work into our house now!

I've already got a bay but I'm not too taken by the colour to be honest.

 

I know the red isn't too popular - I've just never been able to find the time or motivation to have it painted......a good t-cut has brought out a decent shine though!!

i'd imagine it's 'cos most on here own one? seems ok colour wouldn't put me off, would sell easier with top 1/2 white, need to get a wiggle on as summer's nearly done, sold my bay this time last year easy enough though.

 

Yeah, I appreciate most of you have something already.....Don't have the time to do any more unfortunately, but I know the two tone is a bit more desirable. I'd rather take a bit off the price and let the buyer decide what to do re colours etc..... Just needs someone who's willing to go to the trouble. The rest of the van is in good nick, so not a money pit in that regard.....
