1973 Panel Van bulkhead model for sale

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by Chris Hilliard, Aug 12, 2019.

  1. Standard panel van UK original RHD Bulkhead model with three seats.

First imported from Germany to Ramsgate in March of 1973, making one of the first late bays.

As far as I have been able to uncover this van was used as a commercial vehicle for its whole life right up to when I purchased it a little under two years ago. Used in South London for its whole life: It delivered cinema equipment from a company based in Soho, before moving south to Balham and then to a florist in Kingston, before being used to sell grilled Cheese Sandwiches for a company based in Sutton.

Solid chassis and straight body panels

Engine top end rebuild less than 1500 miles ago – now 1640cc

Opening quarter lights fitted – original fixed pains retained.

    original partition screen

My intention was to keep the van for the long term so have been working on it slowly. It has had a lot of work carried out in the last two years to get it back on the road and in regular use. However, change in family commitments and a need for a new van in the near future mean a reluctant sale.

There is a Small whole in the gutters, while the paint work has cracking and bubbling in places – the worst being around the rear valances – nothing that needs immediate attention.

This is not a show van but is a very good example and in perfect place to make something amazing.

Viewing highly recommended – Located in KT4 Surrey, 5 minutes from A3 and Rail station

    Price £9900.00 - as stated
