FOR SALE 1972 T2 £16,500

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by KateOdell, Apr 2, 2017.

  1. This 1972, tax exempt, fully restored type 2 campervan has had one owner for the past 12 years. Phoebe is now a beautiful and reliable Cadbury themed van. She won a prize for the best interior in summer 2016 and always turns heads at the classic car shows and has been used for several weddings. This is a reluctant sale but due to personal circumstances she is no longer getting the attention she deserves. Phoebe is both MOT-ed and serviced. Since purchase, she has always been stored in garages to avoid any unnecessary weathering.

  2. Any suggestions as to where I should advertise the van as not getting much interest here?

Looks lovely. How about Gumtree, Preloved, eBay classified? Take it to some festivals with a For Sale sign in the window. Good luck. As I say, it looks lovely. Tin tops rock.

Ok this is meant as constructive criticism/ helpful advice!
Firstly most on here have already got one and know lots about them, if you're hoping to sell to a non owner coming on here to look at busses for sale they're more likely to buy from someone who appears to be a member known and trusted by others.
    Your ad is poor
People want proper derails about the vehicle history and restoration.
Key point 12 is the first of any interest and you've spoilt it by saying unleaded petrol, they all are!
Oversize pistons and bores means nothing? What size/type engine is it.
    What carburetor?
Lowered suspension! How has it been lowered?
I'm afraid it reads as someone with little idea of what they've got trying to sell what they think is a pretty bus for quite strong money.
Sorry to be harsh but sort your ad out and you'll stand a better chance of selling because under the chocolate it looks a good solid bus.

  5. she needs a hot air pipe to the oil filter and heating would be good...;)

  6. Personally I would never buy a vehicle that is called phoebe......I agree with flakey plus if it's too personal would put me off ... VZI gets a lot of foot trafic plus I'd put a for sale sign in it and park it somewhere highly visible ... looks a nice bus but you have limited your market by doing a Cadbury theme as opposed to a pastel colour

  7. Surely it will melt tho?

  8. Both hot air pipes are missing - so lower front tin needs holes blanking off don't they?

  9. technically yes ,should keep both halves of engine at different temps...
