Many thanks, did see it, nice looking bus... had to get away early to drop daughter off or I would have gone in myself!

Baybirmingham, it will be well worth the wait!

  6. REAL nice. So so jealous! I'd love one of them in mine when it's complete. Where'd you get the bellhousing kit? RJES?

  7. Thanks...yes RJES and a bit of modification by my brother in law!

  8. How much work is involved in the conversion then? Lots? or is it just money for the appropriate bits?

  9. The initial build with the cossy rad was a lot of work as I had to get the loom and ECU totally overhauled and fitted. My brother in Law did all the body work from scatch...this lot alone was the best part of 10 months. The inner seats were a hand build and the trimming was done by a firm in Norwich that hadn't done a bus before... it took ages for them to get it right...but the end result was worth it! In all it was nearly a year and a half.... Then Four months back I'd just about had enought of the heating issues caused by too much going on in the back end...Cossy rad, Scooby engine and Lotus box all working against each other! I put a post on here and Baydreams suggested Fellows! They had a look quoted a price and did the work that you see on the conversion. The rad is now underneath (great heated floor effect) and the engine parts were powdercoated. It did cost a bit...but "I love my bus and what bus wants it gets!" All in all to get to where I am today it's taken just over two years!!! Many thanks for the Karma, much appreciated,

  10. It's a testament to you fair play. Last questions I promise, if you don't mind, why the lotus box and out of what car? Also is the braking and suspension still Bay stuff?

The Lotus box came with the Bay when I bought it...the previous owner was a racing car tech and did one off builds for car enthusiasts...it looked good so I thought I'd keep it. It does sound nice with the Scooby engine! However, I actually ended up having it reconfigured to suit engine flow and fittings under bus. Basically I cut half of it off as it created too much heat!!! Braking is Porsche discs, calipers...I'm having the calipers powder coated in the near future to match engine tine ware. Suspension is Bay based with my Brother-in-Laws own drop spindle kit (Renegade Speedsters). The drop to the front has been achieved witht he drop spindle and smaller Boxters (15inch) on the front end and larger on the rear!
