  1. This car has was restored 5 years ago to a very high standard. It wanted for nothing and only the best would do. I'm not exaggerating this is like new and the paintwork is faultless.

It's a 1963 bug with all original panels, floors and wings. Car is in storage ATM so the chrome is coated in vaseline

    Exterior 10/10
Repainted in its original colour at great cost, would easily win at a show event. Chrome is all German original stuff. Wheels refurbished with new period whitewall tyres.

    Interior 10/10
Not a mark on it, dash is also mark free. Refurbished seats and frames, refurbished steering wheel, original headliner near mint, new carpets.

    Engine 10/10
Rebuilt original motor with rebuilt carb and everything else. No endfloat at all and is like a Swiss watch.

    Underneath 9/10
Solid as a rock and is exceptional for age. Only a 9 out of 10 because it needs a clean and fresh coat of waxoyl

Has original instruction book, service book (stamped up until 20,000 miles) and receipts

This is a unique opportunity to get a mint classic but that's ready to go

  10. Awesome & the votes that say it’s not worth it either skint or know F all about the price of classic metal you could put that up for far more it’s all about who got the ££££ & can afford it beautiful job Sir a credit to you

  11. So surely the answer to the question is it worth it is definitely yes then???

  12. I don't think that's true. Might be "worth" loads but actually getting someone to recognise that and put their money where their mouth is is another matter. Look how many cheap bays are in the classifieds that have had thousands spent on them but are selling (or not) for less than the price of the parts. Classic market is carp at the moment.

    Nice bug

  13. Every one told me I would not get £30k for my split 1st Ad day one sold cash buyer previously I struggled to sell a bay crew cab it’s the luck of the day Sir & as you say the correct buyer @ the right time I’m a sporting Memrobilia Auctioneer for my sins & show host master of ceremonies I Auction signed gloves from £250 that’s the worst I get I’ve got £2500 for one best I’ve done that’s just the luck of the draw who’s got the money on the day
The bride is a property developer exactly the same goes £80k flat sells all day to young & old alike if ground floor yet £1/2m property sits on the market till some deep pocket punter arrives on the door step & buys simple weighting game
Have a lovely blessed peaceful weekend
Some people are forced to lower the price for many reasons want rid need the cash want to purchase something else others obviously don’t need cash or in no rush it just depends who’s holding the upper hand

  14. Its a lovely car and will sell in time. A new MOT on it would help a sale. After all its been stored and presumably not driven since restoration was done 5 years ago. That would be against it.

Maybe worth selling at a classic vehicle auction, rather than on ebay, where people go looking for a cheap bargain.

    Good god.
I thought that you of all people would know that the arcing from the distributor cap and HT leads pre-heat the fuel so that it atomises more effectively thus producing more power!
