1800 starter long or short shaft?

    Hi, Just trying to workout which starter the 1800 type 4 uses. My bus was built in Dec 73. All suppliers say 76-78 for long shaft starters. Are they just idiots or would mine be a short shaft?

    Depends on your gearbox? It went to long shaft when the 091 gearbox was fitted for 1976 MY
