  1. so im putting my old stainless on my 1600 tomorrow as the original one off a split that the engine came out of i dont like so mine is going on but talking to a mate he says sometimes it can mess with the engine when changing over and putting stainless on like running funny and chuggy :\ what would this be down to ?

  2. It would be down to your mate not knowing what he's talking about ;).

If the stainless physically fits, it should be fine.

  3. thought it sounded a bit like that myself ! thats why i thought id just ask the question

  4. Have a go. You may find the exhaust doesn't fit. Getting the manifold nuts off may be tricky, so take it easy!

  5. Stock style stainless or 4 into 1 stainless (quiet pack etc) type?
If the former nothing will change, the latter could possibly (though probably not noticeably) make the engine run a little leaner due to the freer flowing nature of the exhaust.

  6. yeah i get what you are saying its a 4 in 1 also cos my bus is so slammed it has worn a small hole on the edge of the back box now i dont think its worn thru into the box i think its just worn on the weld but looks like a hole now if it was would that do anything ?
