1600 Engine restored (how should it perform)?

Looks tidy yeh twinport as woody says , 009 dizz so id def check timing is right , is points gap right?? Just a usual comment for safety id put fuel filter out of engine compartment, above gearbox under tank outlet its safer their. Ill Let zed n others give correct diagno .

 

oh no someone opened the fuelfilter in engine bay can of worms again! are they jubilee clips? RUN!

 

Thanks again for the info guys, please bear in mind I know literally NOTHING about engines or the parts so all info is helpful.

I will mention the advice regarding fuel filter etc to the garage as well.

to start simple, mate , when you said the engine has been taken care of, can/will you say what has been done ?i.e. heads ? and barrels ? was a comp. test done ?if yes , have you the results ? ta

 

It's a twin port so I would be a little worried that your garage think it isn't! Just be careful you don't get taken for a ride, it's why this forum is so useful
