Four weeks after my trip to Cornwall to buy Clem, and the surprisingly uneventful 150 mile drive home, I've just got around to taking some pictures.

But first, a brief history of our relationship so far:
After 2 years of inactivity, the 150 miles didn't really do Clem any favours - and although we made it home with no major issues (once I got used to the fact that people waving and flashing their lights didn't mean I'd run something over and it was still stuck to the front bumper), the carburettor pretty much gave up on arrival, and that was that until my local garage could fit us in for investigations 2 weeks later.

Quite a lot of rain and the consequential discovery of a few leaks around the doors, windscreen, and roof vent kept me busy after work, and at last the 2 weeks were up. A lot of revving of the engine, quite a few 'restarts', and no doubt a few choice words from my neighbours at 7 in the morning, and we made it to the garage.
.....A completely knackered carburettor, timing that was extremely badly adjusted, and fuel pipes that disintegrated when touched; 2 new tyres, a replacement windscreen seal, and an overhaul of the brakes.
    Ouch.
But the drive home from the garage was joyful!
Since then I seem to have had a tidal wave of friends and family wanting to go out for a ride, I've managed to replace both cab door seals and the drivers door window scraper, and treated / repainted a surprisingly small amount of rust (I'm sure there is more lurking undiscovered thus far)

Next on the list is replacing the front seats as they are badly fitted and too high: my feet only just touch the pedals. Big thanks to @davidoft for supplying a couple of late late bay front seats (and giving me the excuse for a drive down to Hayling Island this weekend), and hopefully fitting them for me when he can.

    That's it so far :)

Yep! No more will I struggle with a single burner camping stove, living in constant fear of igniting my tent...... I'll be banging out a Sunday roast from the oven, the beers will be chilled in my 3 way fridge, there'll be saucepans with things boiling in them, and I might even find a use for the grill.... oh yes, it's the life of camping luxury from here on in ;)

Nice van and tidy inside too. Are you changing from the front seats in? I was just thinking that they look comfy :)

    Thanks! :)
The front seats are really comfy and in great condition - the previous owner certainly looked after her van - but they are just too high, even on the lowest adjustment, and I think my legs are too short to be 100% safe. Shame really!

I know the feeling! I have to have my padded gilet rolled up behind me on the drivers seat or I can't reach the pedals :)

    MOT today..... Passed!
Slight play in near side rear wheel bearing, and a little bit of corrosion by the bottom seat belt mountings on both sides.
    Happy days! :)
