Very very nice :) I do like a T25. Maybe you can recoup some cash selling the back seats?

  8. Like that very much! I'd love a synchro.

Has anyone every tried to retrofit back to a t2? I'm sure it would be massive amount of work but would it be possible?

  9. Awesome id love one
I should have bought one instead of my bay
I wonder if those 16s would fit my van without any rubbing:thinking:

I'm sure there's one going on somewhere at the moment. I seem to recall a article of a build in Scandinavia!!!
Someone may know. There is some YouTube video of a bay off road which I think has Syncro running gear

This morning has been mostly taken up with a bit of front diff wrestling.
Actually quite a simple process involving disconnecting the prop shaft, front inner CV joints, the speedo cable and the rubber mounting bolts.
Getting it out of the subframe is where the wrestling comes in.
    Anyway, here's the hole...

And the reason was because the viscous coupling, the tricksy bit inside the diff that allows the torks to be transferred to the front wheels, needs replacing.
To get the VC out the nose cone needs splitting from the diff body.
The silicon fluid that's inside the VC canister gets thicker with age and mileage and can eventually cause the VC to become overly aggressive & destroy the diff.
This bad boy is off to a specialist for rebuilding at the cost of about a millionty pounds. P1070137.jpg
