WANTED Kubelwagen reduction boxes....

Lets have a shot in the dark..

Anyone got any of the small reduction boxes for a Kubel?

I would be VERY interested in hearing from you if you do..

 

Are they not the same as split ones??

 

Thing/181 ones are the same, kubelwagens pre date split buses by several years.
You may be looking for some time, have you tried bbt in belgium?

 

Splitty ones are pretty much the same. Ask on the SSVC forum as a lot of people IRS the rears or straight axle them.

 

Indeed they will fit anything can be within reason, but split bus reduction boxes on a 40s kubel is almost herearsy in some circles !!
I certainly wouldn't take it near stanford hall

 

No, the kubel ones are much smaller than the split ones.. They would do the same job pretty much but its the Kubel ones Im looking for.
Even if its just the case or the gear separately I'm all ears..

I'm well aware that the search isnt going to be over any time soon, but it never hurts to ask.. (tell your friends yeah?)

 

Barndoor splits (pre 55) might be the same as kubels. They are different from later split ones anyway.

 

Have you asked on the samba?

 

I'm not on the samba. I know I should be, especially when looking for stuff, but I'm only here with you guys.

 

Last set i saw go on the samba went for $2500.
Not cheap but nothing with the cog logo ever is.

Are you rebuilding a kubel?
