Volksworld 2015

  1. It was a Late Bay it had the wire hinge engine lid Late Westy Roof Big Vents, flared rear arch, lipped front arch, round filler cap with no flap & separate lock in the sliding door, the only early bit was the front. That bus was a post 1976 for sure. It was registered as a 1970 though ;)

  2. Oh and these bits.
Worryingly they went on and on about the stolen register and yet this was allowed pride of place. Not saying it is stolen but smells a bit funny.

Its a 1970 shell which was rotten..Johnsons Autoworks restored it using panels from a later 1976 bay they was breaking according to Volksworld :D

The whole fuel filler set up inc tank are different from early to late!

Ive just thumbed through the article!

    Hmm is all Im saying

I agree having read the article and seen the pics, I didn't pay attention to it close up but now you mention all the differences, its more than a '70 shell rebuilt - too many differences that don't tally up!

  9. Thanks for sharing the pics everyone

  10. Looks like you all had a great time. Gutted to have missed out, especially as its only 10 mins from my house, but urgent work on the van took priority! Maybe next year!!

It was good to catch up with many. The show was ok. I think excesses from the night before got the better of me.

Here's some of mine - reduced in size a bit to make the download time better - Yess !
we got the Prototype's slot this year so there was a lot of interest in the busses.

A photographer from Volksworld had a good look around and a chat with us.

  14. Same Bus at Stanford Hall last year. Think I preferred it in green.

  16. I saw it at Skeg Vegas last year with the brown colour scheme. Thought someone had done a dirty protest on it.

  19. Any idea how that was attached, we've got a spare hammock and that looks interesting :)

  20. From he photos the green version it just looks like cable ties so just for show. On the brown version it looks like he's changed he roof rack and a square bar extends from it.
