73 Westy

I've recently acquired a 73 Westy in what could be called 'in need of attention'. I'd been thinking of a late Westy RHD for some time and it was so cheap I couldn't say no (although I probably should have done!)

I have a number of other air cooled vehicles as well as daily drivers and a sleeper Humber 'snipe. This is however my first late bay since my panel van I had in 1991 which I loved driving and I'm looking forward to my first camping trip in a Westy. This thing is going to be a challenge but I'm hoping to get this no hoper back on the road. I'll post up a build thread at the weekend as it's going to be interesting I suspect.

Thanks for the kind words, encouragement and optimism! This isn't one for the feint hearted but I have good people I've seen do a lot worse. I'll post all the details on the build thread along with tales of parts collecting!
