cab floor issue

You will need your chassis number,

Some photo's of the label on the panel you recieved and the panel itself.

i work for a big body shop in bristol so i no pattern panel are harder work i have contacted vw heritage and been told the panel cant be incorrect as they have sold many .i cant put pictures on at the min as the file is to large .

 

upload it to Flikr or similar and then resize it in the editing options

 

You have to remove the gear lever / handbrake bracket

drill the spot welds out of the handbrake lever bracket and remove it from the new floor, the holes you drill will then be plug welded to the mount still on your van, then drill the 4 spot welds from the throttle mech on your van and swap it to the new floor, take about 30 mins

So what model would those brackets on the new floor fit ?

 

Brazilian bay, is that a vw brazil floor ?

 

As davidoft says remove all the bits and weld up the holes that's the same floor I used in my van it will fit fine after a little bit of fiddling with. I still need to weld the holes up .

 

Did you know the floor in a brazzy bus is about 12mm higher than our older relatives?

I have changed the item description to include:


May require some modification/relocation of the brackets as this is a Brazilian Bay Panel, but the shape and fit is good once modified.

 

Good I wouldn't of minded if it said that to start with .The chap that emailed me from heritage made me out to be stupid saying that the brackets were in the correct places .I work for a large Mercedes, jaguar, vw/audi approved body shop...... but hay what do I know
