Hi to all. Recently got a late bay and will post some pics soon once I've got some on photowhatever. After starting work in the early 80s and being an office dweller ever since, I decided to ditch the nine to five and try sommat else before I'm dribbling into my soup. I got into vans and the VDub thing about five years ago, loved the silliness and fun of it....and it helps that money has become less important. So the plan is i'll do a few vans up as basic campers to sell for an honest buck.....t4 or 5s, and hire the bay out for weddings and stuff along with a classic Citroen DS I have. The Citroen is a beaut but may be too niche for people's taste, if so I'll trade it for a second bay. None of this is earth shattering, but it's a good excuse to mess about with, tart up, and drive vans. I've been surprised by the 1.6 bay engine and it's really starting to grow on me. I also have a low mileage impeccable T4 which took us all around France this year. There is great appreciation for it but little affection. The bay will be very different. I keep nudging the curtain back to look at it. It's naked inside and will get its interior soon. We'll use it as a camper so the interior will need to be dual purpose. No idea what it will look like yet and I'm not going near it. I'll let someone far more skilled than me do the job. Looking forward to becoming part of the community.
