  1. have you bought it yet ?

  2. Fake - these pop up on EBay all the time. You get in touch and then find out the bus is in some far flung part of the country. If you can get there, the owner says it will move soon as he is in the army and will be deployed in the next few days. If you use EBay Escrow, they will deliver for free and if you don't like it, you will get your money back. EBay escrow for vehicles does not exist. Found several ads like this.

  3. Worth enquiring though, just in case someone has got the price wrong...

  4. `74 on a W ??
Anyone in this country would know that or explain why ...

    It`s a wrong `un - end of

  6. Either they have missed the 1 off the front of the price or it's a scam. If it's genuine - I'm off the Edinburgh this afternoon.

Reading the news, there's armed cops everywhere in Edinburgh, the price is that good folks are fighting over it - hell there's even a bloke shouting from the rooftops!

Hmm, they're always in Scotland! You could enquire if it's still for sale, the ad's a month old. If it is still for sale either it's a scam or it's a nice looking rot-box that's had a big estimate for welding underneath which was the last straw for the owners. Happens.

  14. Seen a fair few advertised as location in fort William, bays t4 etc ,I can assure people there is no other bays here or in my area and I know most of the t4 s aswell ,as said above they use far flung places as it's so far to travel.

They use far flung places cause its to far to travel.... Edinburgh ? I believe there will be a whole heap of people near Edinburgh that would be into these vans and make enquiry...

Not everyone places the same value on these vans, I was speaking to a fella who parked his next to my old jeep. I got chatting to him, he had no interest in the "VW SCENE" just had the van that he bought 20 years previously, as good as mint condition and totally original, He reconed it was worth around £4k, he paid £500 for it when he bought it and had no idea what the values were these days amongst the scenesters.. You never know untill you give them a call... A rough low light might sell for a few grand these days, one along the road from me in an old fellas garden being used as a log store.. still in one piece.. £300... im keeping it up my sleeve for now ... they do exist... along side the scams...

  16. I have got my best bargains from Scotland and Wales in the past 'normal prices not rip off!' and knowing my luck it will be a genuine van! So no way am I phoning my other half would kill me! I have enough old tin to keepme busy dont want anymore! Haha! ;-) Totally agree with redoxide not everyone is into the vw scene and gems do appear still.

  17. 100% scam ,look at the body work and interior ,the clean up inside and recovering and bodywork/new paint cost double the asking price.
VW owners know the value of their vans.

  18. I'd say scam look at the T5 underneath, its also a scam. :)

  19. They usually use photos and descriptions of other vehicles already sold then stick a to good to be true price on it.
