WANTED RM 123 Fridge Desperately!!

Discussion in 'Non Late Bay Classifieds' started by Poppi, Jun 25, 2014.

  1. Desperately seeking an RM123 fridge please if anyone has one for sale? I am in Devon but willing to pay courier fees.

  2. It took me quite a while to find a reasonably-priced second hand one earlier this year (although someone will probably appear instantly now offering you one).

Keep trying eBay but search for 3 way electrolux as many people don't know/don't list the model number. Easy to spot as they are the only model to have the controls at the bottom.

    Here's one finishing in 2 hours - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-way-gas...ervan_Caravan_Accessories&hash=item3ce30af89d

  3. Thank you Sir Arthur I have spotted that one but he is unwilling to send via courier :(
I'm thinking I may have to bite the bullet and pay £369 for a new one

  4. That`s the "latest" (Domestic) model , well worth the cash , 100% better than the previous Electrolux - also badged as an RM122/3 .
Shame he won`t ship it ....

    Happy hunting

    :hattip:

  5. Just keep at it. I didn't even win the bidding on the one I eventually got. Came second and messaged the guy saying I'd take it if it fell through (which it did).

And yes, definitely a beige Dometic one rather than a white Electrolux one (although Dometic was originally a Electrolux brand). To be a fridge nerd - 1992 onward.

  6. I keep hunting but not having much luck can't really afford £369 but i need the fridge lol

  7. Ive got a vintage 2 way rm122 in my garage if you are interested ive run it off 12v and it got cold never tried gas. If you have hookup with a decent charger you might not need 240v?
Ill put some pics up if you're interested?

  8. I really need to know it runs on gas to be honest Scote as i rarely use ehu when away and gas gets it much colder than 12v does :)

  9. .

  10. @Poppi I've got a 3 way Electrolux fridge I'd like to sell. I'm pretty sure it's an rm 123, but it's in the shed so I will have to check. If you're interested, I will get it out tomorrow and take some photos.

  11. Scote - I found a RM122 fridge in a van down the Gower - had been sat rotting away in this van for years, took it out - stripped it down and it sparked up on gas after a few attempts. They are pretty bulletproof so its definitely worth you trying to get it running on gas.

They are sealed units so tip it upside down for a bit then right way around to get the gas around the system.

It works very well on all three supplies and is in good condition
It was my beer fridge in the front room for about 3 years:burp:

  13. Do you have an older model fitted? I'm pretty sure the newer ones changed the side the flue was fitted on. Older models have it on the LHS (when viewed from the front).

I tracked down the newest old one I could find (if that makes sense) from a caravan breaker on Ebay.

Keep looking! They'll turn up :)

Just noticed this, are you still looking?

    I have a Dometic/Electrolux RM123E that I no longer need.

  15. Thank you so much 77 Westy and all others I did have to bite the bullet and buy new in the end :(
