This is a timber like many others named Corne Ets based in Lyon, but you' ll find that plywood in any good timber! ask for 15mm Poplar plywood, resistant and ultralight.
You may find lighter than that, but would be more fragile to punch or anything.... like balza plywood core.

Yes Zed, I started my project in blue laminate.... and more I worked on the furniture, more I though I had to respect the 70's style, Orange "Florida" was the best.
And that color create a great light in the interior on the sunlights. I would never change this color for anything!!

 

I had to re made a "sand" color paint to apply on the VW front logo, and made it in aqua base + flat varnish.
Concerning the orange original indicators lenses, I found it too massive on my Blue front face, and replaced it by clear ones that I gently smoked in same blue as body and install a pair of orange bulbs.... I find it a bit more discreet, isn' it? (see avatar!)

I know Corne & Cie in Vénissieux, I bought some 3mm ply from them a while ago for the door panels and I was going to go to them for 15mm boards for the interior. I don’t suppose you do commissions do you?

We must be fairly close, I live to the west of Lyon not far from St-Foy-l'Argentière but as you took your Bay to Grenoble you’re probably over to the east.

Not vehicle collection, it own its proper original card with 5 places allowed.

 

If you register "vehicle de collection" you have the ct every five years and insurance should be less...

I had a normal card and changed it this year ,cost 48 euro...

 

Yes... same in France, but you can be sure that the first vehicles wich will be restricted (because, one day, that will happen!), that will concern this "collection" vehicles. Certified by a member of french prefecture.
I never believe in this kind of "present" from government... it always hyde a bad news.
I wouldn' t swap my normal card for anything.

Yes my Lord!
ok I bought an extra bed with its pair of bars.
I bought an other steel bar (section 25mmX25mm) and a couple of U bend I fixed on top end of this bar, plus a pair of sangle for triming the level of your second bar and to keep up the gap between fixations in the bus and this bar.
I' ve made a couple of "bumpers" made in PVC and a piece of foam to avoid the steel bar forcing on both windows once the main door is closed.
I think I will be more than enough for my kids 'till they' ll be 10!!

To be honest I sleep far better in this bus (at the rear) than in my tent, but this is small "cosy cosy" when you sleep at 4.
My wife and I have to jump up from the rear door to go to sleep! quite funny as well!!
than will be really fine until kids will become.... *******ed off.
