LOVE the look 8) who supplied the roof? I have an Aussie tin top and after our first family tour (3 weeks in France) im thinking of converting to a pop top ! ;D
A few companies do them now, be aware though that some of the modern fabrics they use rubbish, make sure they are good old canvas.
Time has come for a spring tickle , so it's out with the old and in with the new. Roof Canvas removed ready for replacement. As it's a custom jobbie Im having one made by The Canvas Repair Centre at Burton On Trent, went over and paid them a visit the other day and Im filled with confidence that they will do a good job, will take some pic's of the refit. I have stripped the roof lining (with a little help)and ye owd ribbed carpet and will replace it with Mega Van Mats 2 way stretch carpet. I am in the process of building a single wheel trailer so I can take more stuff I won't need away with me!
Work I have done this year , restored an old single wheel trailer so we can now take more stuff we don't need!! And new roof canvas, rams and a new Reimo style roof bed that works on the uprated rams!The roof canvas came from THE CANVAS REPAIR CENTRE BURTON ON TRENT. they used my old one as a template. The quality and fit were outstanding as was the service. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will do a full review in the correct section.
@PIE How do you get on with the side door step? I take it that it does not protrude farther than the wing mirrors. My wife and I are finding getting in and out of the back a litte bit of a strain these days. Tony
