Interior for panel bus..

Discussion in 'Camper Conversions' started by Scruff, Jul 6, 2014.

  1. Hi, I'm planning the interior for my panel, trying to get the most out of it whilst keeping my full width RnR bed..

Does anyone have any pictures of their panel interior? Or ideas? I'm struggling! lol

    Thanks x

  5. Novel approach and you can get 5 round the table in comfort. Is the glass top the cooker?

  6. Yep twin hob with sink :)

  7. We've been working on this

  8. all comes down to what you intend to do with it....full-width reduces storage space, but makes for a better weekender IMO....built in unit behind the driver's bulkhead makes the most sense from an access point of view....removeable unit with carry-out cool box and portable stove means you can have a bare bones van for carrying bikes/stuff and a camper for when you need it...swivel seats is the one mod I'd do first....

  9. Liking that, exactly the sort of thing I'm after, did you buy it or make it? What about the overhead locker? Cheers scott

  10. I really like that but thought it would be no good for me as i want a sink aswell
Then maybe it would work for me if i did this

  11. It started off as a Westy interior, I think it was a helsinki? Had a wardrobe/cooker unit behind the seat upto the ceiling.

We remade the bed and buddy seat front panels, then made the little cooker unit from scratch. It's not quite finished yet

  12. Id love to see some more pics if you dont mind
My dad was a carpenter/joiner and im so ashamed as im useless with wood unless its carving

  13. Where do you work Beav

  14. I work in a resto garage in Bristol, we're not carpenters, just make what we need when we need it. The cooker unit was the most complicated thing we'd ever done.

We have done some development work on a westy style bed using the jk hinges too

  15. I don't have many pics, but it's supposed to be coming back in for some finishing off, I'll take some more then.

  16. Thanks very much! I am really pleased with the way it has turned out! I personally didn't make it but a mate who is a Chippie made it for me but I designed it! My table fits in the back of the roof locker!

  17. That's a spot on place to store the table out of the way ! Did he have any plans for the overhead locker or make it to suit?

  18. Top banana racing very kindly gave me a top box which I used as a template but then made the front facia deeper so it could contain my speakers and hide the table! :)
