  4. Started fitting the Madmatz cab carpets today. Heres progress so far:

As I have used celly paint I did not want to stick the carpets straight onto the paint so I applied a sound proofing layer 1st, then glued the mats to this.

  7. Hi All, it's been a while since I updated my resto thread. I have been using Wilby over the last couple of years as well as continuing the final bits of the resto.

Here's a brief look at what i've been up to.

Brought myself a small sewing machine and made up a set of door cards and covers for the RNR bed. Well please with the results.

  9. Covers look great. Where did you buy the piping from? I could do with some to repair the missing bits on my bug seats.

  10. I brought the piping cord from ebay and made up the piping with the ivory material. If I remember correctly you need to cut an inch wide piece and form the piping as you sew it to the front/back panel of the cover.(The inch piece of material is folded over the cord and sewn to the panel). You need a piping foot for the sewing machine to be able to do this. Alternatively, i'm sure piping is available made up ready to sew into you existing seat covers.

  11. You can see how it is formed in the 4th pic down on post #327

  12. Freakin' lovely job!! I'll follow in your footsteps when ours warrants an interior lol
