I've got an I-phone charger and a USB hub that fits in the cig lighter socket and I've got hook up as well

 

David - I don't need hookup but can throw my hookup lead in for you to borrow - it's a standard hookup cable with the round type connectors at both ends (male one end, female other).

Or if you can charge your phone from USB you can charge in my van or borrow my USB cig lighter socket adapter - just bring your charging lead...

 

I think I will be wiring in a cigarette socket at techenders, cheers peeps I will borrow some electric from someone

 

yeah hopefully bottom field it's less windy someone will let you charge phone, i've got an inverter if you're stuck anyway.

 

What phone u got as I got a few stairlift battery's I power my 12v socket and this is just for my phone batts last ages ur welcome to use it just need an in car charger bud , mine was full all volksworld !!

 

Sounds just the job for the welding I need doing on the bug!

Not sure. I just put avoid motorways in the tom Tom and blindly follow it. I remember a wind turbine and a lorry depot on route!

 

Change of plan on what I'm planning on doing.

Can't do the bushes in my sliding door hinge as turns out late late bays don't have bushes in the hinge (thanks JK for selling me a bush set for up to '79!) - so instead I'm going to have a go at replacing the entire hinge assembly with one I got off Paul Weeding.

Also, have decided against trying to replace my side opening window and have decided to replace my clutch cable instead.

Anything special I need for doing a clutch cable other than grease and a new cable?

 

Clutch cable is one of the few jobs you can do without tools. A pair of molegrips is handy to clmp on the cable and stop it turning while you tighten the butterfly nut. You'll need swarfega though.
