What spare vortex ring? and of course I do, you can bring it to techenders when you see sense and decide to come. Your van won't go anywhere and techenders is only available this weekend. ;)

    I was hoping so. :D

  4. Let's have a chat about this when we meet. All this technical engine stuff is very new to me.

I bought my carb set years ago pre loved because it was cheap. I had little faith they'd be any good after a bad experience trying to put them on what later turned out to be a knackered engine and with the wrong jets.

I might well stump up for a better linkage and manifolds in the future

    Mmmmmm lovely. :)
Did you have to adjust the fan housing?
Which make of inlet manifolds are those? They look shorter than mine.

  7. The engine was built by John Maher racing, and all parts were supplied buy him.I will have a look on the build spec and see if
it tells me the manufacturer of the manifolds.

Thanks mate, I'm just nosey - got my manifolds and a selection of fan housings so what will be will be.

  9. With the offset CB manifolds there is 2-3 mm of clearance with 40 DRLA ....this i know for a fact !

    But you have T4?
2-3mm is enough, so long as not touching and I can get at the mixture screws. :)

  11. yes but i helped a work college build a 2055 type 1 and i just asked him and he said its very tight but just goes ... Dell 40`s

Cool I'll have a look at them on Saturday

  14. isn't a 2055 wider than a stock 1600 ?

  16. 1776, twin 40's and og fan housing here too

  17. By a couple of mm but Zeds isn't a standard 1600 either

  18. Won't be in the bus unfortunately.....besides, they were @Dicky's dells on my manifolds....
Point taken re not all manifolds sold as 'suitable' are in fact suitable.....I'm assuming the zedster will be aware of this
