  1. How much were they offering?
    :)

  2. My sincere apologies Pickles, offending anyone was never my intention.
I sometimes forget to moderate my language on here, so sorry for that, and I'll try to remember in future.

  3. when I was driving round in my Orange bay I only got approached by old folk saying they would give me une mill [a grand] for my bus...:D

I could have been a policeman ,I can spot a dodgy person/car a mile off..

  4. I had someone throwing coins at me when I was on my motorbike a few weeks ago, the driver got some road rage as I didn't get out of his way quickly enough. He had pulled alongside shouting at me (pointless, I'm sitting on top of an engine wearing a crash helmet) then he brake tested me before trying to give me money for my petrol. I got the make and model and it was a liveried van. Called the dibble when I got back to work and they sent a couple of PCSO round to interview me. As I was not hurt nor was my bike they said there was nothing they could do. Next time it happens I guess I should fall off then. Couldn't even be bothered to contact the company concerned, suggested I do though. They could have just told me not to bother when I first phoned; would have let them get on with making reality shows for satellite TV.

  5. I find this unbelievable as PCSO's do not usually take statements, but that depends on what County you live in, and they generally do study traffic law, from what you have described there is a case for possible careless/dangerous driving, and by throwing coins at you there is a case for assault. They should have sent someone to take a statement from you, provided you have the vehicle details, and then interviewed the person in relation to those offences. If I was you I would ring your local station and speak to the duty sergeant.

  6. It was the Met, perhaps they just sent them around to mollify me. I did phone the company concerned (well they told me to) and told the guy what had happened. He knew exactly who it was and asked me whether I wanted him to write me an apology, like that's going to be worth anything. I said it would be nice if they could make sure he tries to control his temper a bit (and next time - £1.50 or so isn't going to get me much at the filling station is it!), they guy said he would and he would call me later in the week, never did though. I certainly won't be using that firm of carpet fitters any time soon though!

  8. A family member of mine is in the police and talks about the amount if paperwork linked to any arrest. He also talks about how often the cps drop cases or won't take them up in the first place especially when it's 1 persons word against another's.

  9. Sounds interesting
