  1. Dacron wrapped and stockinetted me bed cusions and fitted seat belts in the back! Need to have a bit of a play to straighten the lines up on the bed but you get the gist!

  2. Drove it around some of the top gear test track

  3. What was your time

  4. Went to Clacton, fully loaded with the three grown up kids. 3 extra adults definitely affects the acceleration! Lovely day and didn’t need to call the RAC man :)

Now that looks comfy.. Move over @vanorak :)

  7. Why were you there, if you don't mind me asking?

And why didn't you go all the way around? You could have topped the Power Lap board!! :p

  8. I went to wheels day. It's a hot rod/american car show run by the Surrey street rodders club.

The route into the car park went around part of the track, wasn't able to use the whole track unfortunately.

    It's at Dunsford airfield

Should have said upto 45mph not mpg

  9. Waited in all morning for the postman to deliver @brothernumberone 's new book...and an excellent tome it is too. Postie not rocking up until 1.30pm rather stuffed my progress, but fabbed and welded repair for offside d-post.

Straightened up the steering wheel on the camper, something I've been meaning to do for months, took 3 minutes!

Nothing - just left her on the drive after she failed the mot. waiting for the steering coupling to arrive and then I will fix the trapped windscreen washer rubber and take her back for her ticket.

  12. went for a ride out to NOSVW met Simon ( Top Bloke), then went for a meal at the The Stocks Inn -> http://www.thestocksinn.co.uk, fantastic food, massive portions, staff very polite and attentive.

  13. Went to work this afternoon :(

Good thing was I went to fetch Moly the Robowagen home :D

Took her freshly charged battery & connected her up but she wouldn't fire up! A quick wiggle of the spark plug leads & a look inside the dizzy cap & she fired up :D

The kids piled in & we drove her home :D

We unloaded everything & gave her a good clean out & re-packed ready for Techenders :)

It's great having her home & outside :D

  17. Very much liking that. On a similar yet different theme I used an instrument chest to put my plates, eatin irons and brewing up stuff in:

  18. Reinstalled fuel tank, chopped out a little more iron oxide from near the air box stand and the inner valance. Patched the inner valance in a couple of places so it's now less like Swiss cheese!

Drove it at 60-70mph from Kent to Hampshire and it did not really get hot : about 8 to 10 degrees C cooler.

Amazing what a new oil pump and another litre of oil stored outboard in a FRAM HP1 filter does for the oil temperature..
Looks like some of the 'deep sump runs cooler' idea is actually 'more oil in the system runs cooler'.

But I must get rid of the extra leaks I assembled into the system before I can be truly happy with it.
