Hello all. My book is finally out. The hard copy turned up today, just in time for the demise of the written word All I can say is, writing a book is unbelievably time consuming, I thought it would take a few months, but it took nearly two years! It focuses mainly on the bodywork/welding side of things which I think is the area most people struggle with when they're restoring their vans, I know it was when I first got my van. Hopefully the colour pictures will help people out. It's also got a chapter on stripping and refitting bits like the dash and cab doors which I'd have also appreciated when I first did it. I started a thread ages ago on here asking what sort of things people would find helpful in a manual, and I've tried to include as many of the suggestions as possible, although I quickly found out that no one book can cover everything. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0857332457/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1396993014&sr=1-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165 Cheers all fletch.
Nice one! You've kept that one quiet....think you should do a book signing at one of the shows or TLB camps.....
Nice one what's even better is that you come on here most days and I bet 95% of us did'nt no you were doing this, modesty is a virtue
just had a quick browse on the Amazon site...that looks excellent.....Have you thought of getting one or two people on here to do a review....possibly one of the traders, or @zed perhaps....mutual benefit?
Cheers I should point out it doesn't cover engine rebuilds, they're a book in their own right and there's already some excellent ones out there.
you ought to give Mr Pettitt a hand with his book previews look great, think im going to buy this one!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm aware that there's a lot of knowledge and knowledgeable folks on here, and no one likes a smart-arse
I knew. I think you told me some time ago. I will have to buy one now. I know the work involved. Well done bn1.
So good I bought the company book! The preview pages on Amazon look great and you've released it just at the right time for me, Fletch. so it should be with me by the middle of next week... Freckle bus will be all the better for it!
