Found these in my van earlier….I have a few things to take away.

    1. why are there cakes of a type I don’t eat from a shop I don’t shop in in my van.

    2. it’s been a long time since I used said van.

    3. how can something nearly 4 years out of date still look relatively fresh, they were certainly soft and malleable….what the hell is in them?!

This year the flypast was during Kirkby Underwood Open Gardens Day. I know, I know, the excitement here is sometimes just too much. This was one of his three passes. Not sure if it's a Hurricane or a Spitfire?

The mice need to negotiate a maze of traps and poison bait.

The cakes have weathered better that the van!!

I’ve probably said this before… our office is located south of Goodwood on the peninsula and one of the perks of the job is watching the spitfires practicing at low level (less so when they do the filmed flights).

Had a nice afternoon on the scaffolding of one of the seafront properties watching them barrrel rolling and looping a few hundred meters out to sea.

It’s so weird that we celebrate these machines that were born out of war, but then I guess we are VW fans!!

Just as well @Merlin Cat wasn't in the vicinity Mark, otherwise you wouldn't have had anything to film!

I thought the Spitfire came from the Schneider Trophy seaplanes…..you’d like to think their grace and beauty came from that glamorous pursuit, and they were unsullied by war….

You may well be right… perhaps their legacy is war rather than their origins.
