What if all the people who own all the cars that everyone comes to see say they'll only come to the show if it's free entry for exhibitors?

  3. That's a shout - I'd certainly attend more shows as an exhibitor, even if just in the car park/campsite so to speak if FOC

I know they'll say that a chunk of the viewing public are actually owners of classics looking at the others. So what I say, without them you've got no show. Let's start a campaign :D

  5. You mean like it used to be ??
There was always a few extra passes kicking around for wives / girlfriends / wot nots so everyone was happy and the show popular .

  6. Think it is usually free entry for exhibitors? Never had to pay to show except players at north Weald, but that was more like a glorified car park display.
I think the problem with shows like volksworld is the general lack of money to build show cars. People have struggled to heat their homes, let alone have a toy. People can’t afford to travel to the shows as punters too. Hence numbers are down, but the cost of the venue is still substantial. Less people means the tickets are more to cover costs. Catch 22. There was a lot of online flak for the watercooled and porkers, but I think they did a great show considering. I had a good time anyway.
