  1. I get the impression the Chinese aren't being entirely honest about how many folk have this virus

  6. I've been in Brighton today for my son's graduation - I'd say 80% of the graduates were Chinese, many with relatives flying in for today.

And not a Michael Jackson mask in sight.

  7. Wouldn’t surprise me. Met a fellow who’s a kind of roaming ambassador for Winchester Uni. He could fill every place with Chinese students, if they’d let him. And Norwegians, oddly

It is all about China discovering what it was like in the UK in the mid 1800's after the Industrial Revolution got going.

All those "expensive and unnecessary" health and safety and pollution control rules that made Europe and the USA expensive to produce in, are there to keep your soon to become angry population alive with a reasonably healthy environment and workplace.

Sadly now the diseases created mixing dense populations of people and animals inside mega cities can travel faster because of the bullet trains and aviation.

Probably in the past this kind of thing happened all over the world and a few people got sick in the village, couldnt walk anywhere to spread the disease and it just died out again.

Has anyone actually got better from having it?

I want to see someone that can state on camera that they were ill, the doctor or hospital stated they had it, and here they are a few days later having been made to watch daytime television whilst crapping through the eye of a needle on occasion, all right as rain.

I am not stating they need to be Chinese, or reside in China itself - but if they tick both of these criteria, and are seen cuddling a snake or other reptile they bought in a public market that day, it would bring comfort.

Until that point I have taken up smoking so that I can fend off the fellow unwashed in public spaces with the end of a lit fag.

    You can't be too careful.
