This is a semi serious question. You know that test question we all had as a kid, where you are on an island and fire starts one end with the wind heading your way...how do you save yourself....you set fire on the midpoint and wait for flames to blow behind you and stand on the burnt bit before the original flakes reach you? If the fire breaks are big enough couldn’t you do a controlled burn inside of them?
