I think we are with Healthy pets
One thing to watch is to get lifetime cover so you’re covered if they get a lifetime or re-occurring illness.

We've got £50,000 life cover on the dog, now my wife won't let me take the dog for a walk on my own:(

We've never had pet insurance but we've had so many dogs in our lives that it would have cost a fortune to insure them all. Only had one problem with a dog which got diabetes and needed daily insulin injections that probably cost less than the premium would have done in any case.

  5. Never had it with mine either , like most health insurance it normally means you spend a lot more time being seen and over diagnosed but each to there own peace of mind ,

I've never had any for any of ours, we put the cost of an average premium into a separate account for use only for vet bills.

Pet insurance is a business.....they calculate how much its likely to cost them, then charge you 50% more as a premium.

  8. Just had a vets bill for £440 for our Jack Russell who ingested sand on the beach earlier this week & was proper poorly.
Got to pay the excess of about £90 but definitely worth having insurance
Vets certainly know how to charge.
