It’s amazing to see how far you’ve come. The van looks beautiful! Has the smile warm off yet as you’re driving it around or does it still feel like a novelty? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks fella! A bit of both mate. Still not used to spending most evenings in the workshop. Just love driving it around again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lots more cutting up of old seat covers to make patterns from: New pieces made up: Sewing together: And cover made: Original frames back from the powder coaters looking brand new: And the covers finished and fitted. No more ripped seat digging into my arse!
Dab hand with a welder, grinder, spray gun and now a sewing machine. Is there anything you can’t turn your hand to? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've bought a 1/8" BSP to 3mm brass barb fitting to plumb my fuel tank breather into the air filter. How should I go about fitting it? Can't tap the metal as it's too thin, and don't think I can get to the back of it? Rivnut? Or am I missing something obvious?
Need to take it out to take a look but I thought the top half was sealed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bear in mind whatever you put on the inside of the filter might fall off. I’d use a Rivnut if I couldn’t tap the filter housing.
@JamesLey you've done a fantastic job on this bus - really excellent. This thread is an inspiration for anyone else starting out on the resto journey. just in time for the good weather hopefully so you'll get out and camp lots over the summer
