We’ve been (from Bristol) to Dunbar in Scotland to see my sister via Peak District, lakes, Northumbrian coast back to lakes and home. Also to the French Alps (well Annecy which is near enough in my book and how to you pronounce that place anyway - as it is spelt or Onn-cy?) Via Reims and Epernay(sp) for champagne, Sancerre for the SauvignonJura for Vin Jaune, back through Beaune and up to Chablis. This trip was in no way linked to My mild alcohol dependency. Also Arcachon and Cap Feret Via Loire and Dordogne and couple of times. Lovely trips. Two years ago we went to the Loire and Ile de Re and places in between -we have small children now - it was less of a lovely trip and more a endurance event - too many stops - next time 1 or 2 places for a week or so min.
Scotland to Arras, France, then back, via Techenders, to home, then back down next weekend to Stanford Hall, all in over 3 weekends, great fun!
