4.5 billion years of climate change and we , the human race are arrogant enough to think its us that are forcing current changes , our input to the atmosphere is insignificant.. Out entire industrial and human input of CO2 into the atmosphere totals no more than 2% of the total CO2 input . So brats who get dropped off at the scoolgates every day need to look further than there noses for information.. Water vapour has the biggest greenhouse effect on the planet , but its no worse now than it was centuries ago.

If we feel the need to control the climate then its best we get control of the sun.. and that's not going to happen any time soon.. Yep the sun, the powerhouse of the ENTIRE universe . Meanwhile man thinks he can control the climate .. thats arrogance for you, but mankind is arrogant and largely ignorant .

Tesla , or should that be The Panasonic electronics company ( shhh ) have a vested interest in electric tech as they stand to benefit from a shift to battery technology, people are being slowly and surely brainwashed in that direction..

Its as plain as the nose on your face that the human race cant sustain itself . simple arithmetic and common sense highlights the fact we are on a slippery slope . and the climate won't kill us. well thats not true, It will kill millions but not for a good while yet , and it wont be as a result of anything we did .. Its just nature taking its course . Or do people think that we are any different to the other forms of life that have existed on the planet .. I think its called evolution, it never stops .

I have no idea what that has to do with selling an overpriced camper .. but it as deep eh..

  4. Maybe nothing to do with camper prices, but climate change and the causes and effects on our tiny planet are much more interesting subject.

We now know that water vapour, carbon dioxide and methane all contribute to the greenhouse effect and while a lot of this occurs naturally, us humans are making it worse, maybe enough to upset the balance of nature. Temperatures are rising slowly and gradually melting polar ice and this process seems to be gathering speed.

I agree that the human race cant sustain itself as the population increase is out of control, available and usable land is decreasing, humans are polluting the land, seas and air and there seems no way of stopping it.

As @redoxide well explains, nature does take its course and always has. We are on a timeline from when the planet was formed to when it will die in millions of years time. Our own time on earth is very short along the timeline. Its a pity we are bent on destroying the world.

Over time, creatures have come and gone as we will go one day to be replaced by some other life forms, its natural evolution.

The information regards temperature increase is flawed . There has been no temperature increase since the mid 1990s the temperatures are infact decreasing as the sun has entered a period of solar decline , a completely natural climatic cycle albeit the first in our life time but on of many frequent ( in the life of a planet) cycles.

Following climate temperature data its plain to see that hot and cold climate cycles are fairly predictable , core samples have shown that hot and cold spells are part of a cycle, the only thing that says were on a course for global meltdown and increases of temperature by up to 5% are fatally flawed climate predictors created by computer programmers .. Rubbish in equals Rubbish out .

Money available for climate research was easily available providing you followed the agenda of fear . Universities needed the cash so hopped on board and researched the subject with a view to proving the global warming phenomena and to find a cause .. Then they stopped .. the agenda was fulfilled , control of the population could now proceed on the basis of global armageddon if we didnt change our ways .. and buy the way, we will have to impose a tax on that.. !!!

The planet is really doing fine , as far as its climatic cycles are concerned .

The real problem with the human race and its relationship with the planet is POPULATION , education , finance and hard pollution.

The planet cannot sustain a continued population growth, thats a fact, keep adding numbers and multipliers potentially you have 3 breeders per family if each of those produce 3 and they produce 3 you have 9 new inhabitants and 2 deaths .. ( great grand parents) continue like that indefinitely and something has to give .. Especially is you fill all the available land with windmills and solar panels ..

Education , educate people properly, remove the entitled status every teen seems to possess and get back to basics, everyone isn't clever enough to go to University, but its a great way to keep the unemployment figures down and waste resources. £rd world education may go some way to eradicating corruption and assisting proper development in those areas ..

Finance, its no secret that every country in the world is basically bankrupt . The debt out stripps the income and is increasing. Cash is scarce in circulation as banks use what little cash there is to generate more credit . For every £1000 cash you deposit in a bank account, the bank will lend £10000. or in other words create £9000 credit , fantasy cash which they then prefer you spend by electronic transfer .. The further we move from cash based transactions, the more debt / credit is generated . Low interest rates are maintained for the survival of the financial industry, a significant banking crash bigger than the previous one is just around the corner ..

Pollution, Pollution in rivers and water courses is a problem and that problem is definitely the product of mankind . Were worried about gasses in the atmosphere meanwhile we pollute our rivers and seas, we dump rubbish ins unimaginable quantities into land fill, waste resources and mismanage pretty much all of our production and subsequent waste ... meanwhile drive your car and your a planet killer .. Total *****..

Our general waste does more harm to the surface of the planet and the gaseous environment than fossil fuel burning cars.. yet we dont really consider it .. we carry on unquestioning the reason why everything has to be double wrapped with sell by and best before. We are happy to buy cheap garments that dont survive a wash that have been transported 3/4 of the way around the world, made by slaves in poor working conditions so they can be sold in vast quantities cheaply to us .. in the name of fashion .. Its mind boggling the amount of waste we produce..

Were even tricked into recycling all this rubbish.. thats to make you feel better about yourself, but dont be fooled, only 1% of the rubbish in your recycle bin gets recycled the rest goes to land fill or incineration.. Thankfully its all sent 3/4 of the way around the world in diesel powered ships after much mechanical handling to be sorted, graded , processed and sent back to us as new Marmite . the 98% that was shipped that can be recycled is buried in landfill that country..

Its a proper interesting topic when you actually research it rather than just sucking in what they want you to believe ..

    CO2 is a life gas .

  6. All very true , what makes me wonder is why arnt people who know this doing something about it , why because they whom must be listened to and who run the world ,don’t want to print this fa all to see , it doesn’t fit in with their greed ridden ways . We are all doomed and it will all backfire on them too one day .

Population growth concernes me too, while the actual population in Europe and North America is shrinking not taking into account immigration it it set to increase massivly in Africa and Asia, no good can come of it.
Always makes me wonder why we need this massive house building program in England.

  9. In fear of returning the thread to its origins, and I love this topic and the last few posts are so spot on. I’ve been shouting this from the rooftops for years and have been berated for it.

Poxy morons on eBay. My camper sold for £6100. 20 minutes later the geezer emailed to say he didn’t want it as ‘I’ve bought one elsewhere’ total plum. Offered a second chance and the bloke messaged to say that he wants to view first. Hang on fella, you put a bid on for £6k and never once mentioned viewing, you didn’t even contact me at all. Grrrrr

Its really interesting when you get right into it, especially when you enter with an open mind.. Ignore politicians and environmentalists , there all good bedfellows with agendas to fulfill.

Did you know that recycling is big business .. but not in the way you might expect.

The government provide generous financial incentives to "recyclers" dependant upon the % volume of recyclables they recycle successfully. So If I set up a legitimate recycling firn and invest millions of £s to do the job properly I get incentives for the successfully recycled product , say 10 % of the recyclable rubbish that was sorted .. and I have to find a market for the recycled product...

However, If I form a recycling company, collect bales and bales of recyclables , load then into a container and send then abroad, unbelievably, I can get 100% of the government incentives as im deemed to have recycled 100% of the recyclable product ... Doesnt make it viable to invest in recycling plant in the UK or Europe.

Basically there are companies sending container loads of rubbish to asia, which the asians cant handle as its so contaminated and subsequently goes to landfill, meanwhile people at this end are receiving payment for the waste from the purchaser, and payment for the waste from the tax payer all in the name of good environmental practice, when that practice is just to send rubbish across the world for dumping ..

Our scrap white goods and defunct unfashionable electrical goods and computers .phones etc are shipped to Africa by the container load, the stuff the likes of Curries collect from you gets loaded and shipped to Africa where its bought by traders who sort the working stuff from the broken stuff ( its actually illegal to ship non working goods but it gets rid of them and outof our way ) The broken stuff is scraped and burned for copper retrieval , favourite fuel for burning the wire Yup OLD TYRES, so now you have a heady mix of burning rubber and toxic plastic fumes ... all in the name of environmental recycling .. scratch the surface and it stinks .

    That's environmentalism for you .

The latest place to send unrecyclable contaminated recyclables is Poland.. Some of the UKs rubbish is currently degrading in bales in the open in fields in Poland ..

Meanwhile the climate nazis are touting electric cars , windmills and solar power as environmental saviours ... when we cant even take care of our recyclable waste disposal..

  11. That’s a b u mer col , I saw it had sold , what a nightmare . They should be made to pay a returnable deposited to eBay on items over £1000 that would get rid of time wasters . Maybe look at it as a positive , you might get more another way . Did you ever try it at Brighton breeze ? . Hope things work out for you bud ,take care ,barn

The problem with Greenpeace, FoE etc is that they want us to try and stop climate change. They should've listened to King Canute who said "We can't stop the tide coming in". It would be far better to use our resources to adapt to climate change rather than try to stop it. Darwin theory says that every living thing on this planet is only here because it has adapted to changing conditions. If the human race doesn't adapt, it will become extinct. No great loss to the universe IMHO.

As for overpopulation, it will sort itself as happens in the animal kingdom. When the food runs out, they starve to death. This is already happening in many parts of the world. Should we be staging rock concerts to raise money to feed them or should we let nature take its course?

  13. There should definitely be a shake up of eBay, it has just turned into a money grabbing company with no scruples. I doubt I will ever sell anything on there again if I am honest. Last of my money they will see. I’m going to stick an MOT on bumble and give him a little tart up, then get him listed elsewhere under advice from a friend on here. You know who you are. I may even take your advice too and get him insured and out to some shows, my only concern is I am running out of time. He needs to go before October.

  14. Having him on the road will help , people will feel more at ease with things and you can get him seen by the right people . Breeze would be a good place but if you have deadlines could be cutting it tight ? It’s a good bus and you know your stuff so just need a twinsider fan with a nice wad . Volksworld could have been a good one , but I think classic car shows on seafronts n stuff can be good too. Good luck col , did you sell your mini camper ?

  15. Didn’t seem to make the slightest bit of difference last year though bern, I just left it too late to sell and missed out on a good gold pocket. My loss. We live and learn.

Lol, nope. No one was interested in baby bumble either. It got ripped to shreds on here by some members. Perhaps I should paint them both baby blue and stick an awful 1970’s interior in it ;)
