Tell that to someone who commissions your design /work . Sorry but your looking at this against mega expensive systems . I didn’t put it up saying this is better than sitting in a bucket of ice .

 

I commission my own installs and work in service looking after over 135 commercial buildings. From heat pumps to heat recovery vrf/vrv split systems, chillers, commercial supply and extract. This isn't a cock measuring competition i was merely stating a fact, that size evaporative cooler would never cool a space as large as a camper van and in attempting to cool said space would increase the moisture content exponentially.

This gadget seems to be having the opposite effect to its intention!

The one I linked to is WAY cheaper ... and it does say it's for personal cooling not space cooling, so I don't think they're under any illusions about its limitations.
It sounds like the cheapest way to get the same effect would be to put a damp towel on your forehead and blow air across it with one of those mini personal fans?
