  5. Got sorted with much better fuel hoses. All plumbed in now.

Now I'm on to electrics and I'm not an expert (understatement ).

On a late bay is the hazard flasher unit a 111953227 unit? I've tried 4 different ones (all been lying around so not new) and all that happens is the left side indicators come on solid. Then I found this unit and it worked for a few seconds before it died and started to burn out

  6. These are the 111953227 units I tried that didn't work. Are they supposed to go into the furthest left side of the fuse box?

  7. This is the result of those 111953227 units but to be honest the same happens without anything in there so they must be bad

  8. Got the hazards sorted. In the end it was a combination of a lot of bad relays (so i got a new one) and a swap of a couple of wires on the hazard switch.

Since then I've been playing with the engine and after a brief issue with no spark (needed to clean off the brand new points in the brand new distributor) and some tweaking of the single 34 Pict-3 carb Shelly fired up on new years eve. Needs tuning, tightening of the fan belt and I think one of the HT leads is sh*t but other than that I'm very happy with it.
