This weekend... It's at the Bubble Car Museum in Lincolnshire. It's £9 per night camping. Where else can you meet up with a bunch of strange blokes in a field and talk about rubber hoses and a selection of lubricants? I've been looking forward to it for months, see you all there.
I'm afraid it's my dad's bday and so I cannot go. I think appreciation of truly rubbish cars is not widespread. I, however, am on your team mr @Bernard Fishtrousers Ps did you change your avatar for the day?
Always wanted to go there.....not wanting to dare to question the Oracle that is @Bernard Fishtrousers but there's nowt on their website or Facebook page....is it top secret?
[QUOTE="Betty the Bay, post: 1318237, member: 1113"...is it top secret?[/QUOTE] It's bit like a fight club....
I'm off to the Strawberry Fair in Cambridge On Saturday, then we're trapped in Ramsey by the cycle race on Sunday closing every road out of the village. It means we either have to get back from the Fair before 12 on Sunday or stay away from home until after 5:30.
if only you said sooner ,we've got a blues swing dance workshop on tomorrow and and an evening dance with The Terry Burgin blues band ,
I think this is a contender @Bernard Fishtrousers . I would happily drive it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Cort...886703?hash=item1c86fe246f:g:dbIAAOSwjqVZLdKh
OK that ^ looks truly dire, a Mk 4 with a Mk 3 script and rot and a monster reserve. This on the other hand... ...is totally BOSS. It's a highroof Transit, onto which the owner has bolted a trailer tent. He's then re-purposed the awning so that it attaches to the bottom of the trailer rather than the side, I have never seen anything quite like it, truly the highlight of the show & head & shoulders better than the Talbot Horizon/Alpine and endless Astra's and BX's. Nice bunch of very friendly, very drunken blokes & the bubble car museum itself wasn't too dismal either.
